Join us in northern Florida for a week of various projects at Osceola National Forest. This is our first project with this National Forest and we’re excited to learn more about Florida’s smallest National Forest. During the project, we’ll be tent camping in a designated campground (Group Landing). The campground has a bathhouse with showers and bathrooms, a pavilion, and limited water and electric hookups.
The saying goes “variety is the spice of life” and this project embraces that completely. Throughout the week our volunteers will tackle a decent list of projects including board replacement on a retaining wall, installation of a metal swing set, repainting the exterior of two bathhouses, installation of recreation, multi-use, and road closure signs, and wood fence segment replacement in the Olustee Beach Day Use Area.
