This project is designed to completely reestablish Owl Rock Trail, which has fallen into great disrepair though trail maintenance, clearing vegetation, and more.
This project was made possible by a grant from Access Fund.

Service Project Details
Check out and volunteer at this southern Idaho National Reserve. We’ll spend the week replacing dilapidated trail structures and clearing overgrown vegetation on Owl Rock Trail. Our volunteers will work with the City of Rocks National Reserve natural resource staff in replacing damaged trail structures (check steps, retaining walls, and water bars), and replacing structures made of treated lumber and rebar. After replacing all damaged structures, the crew will assist in removing vegetation from the trail shoulders and repairing the trail tread. The project is designed to completely reestablish the trail which has fallen into disrepair.
Some volunteers need to be able to lift 40 lbs and we will take turns to ensure no one gets exhausted.
