Visit West Virginia’s stunning New River Gorge National Park and Preserve and spend the week volunteering to remove invasive plants, pick up trash and plastics, maintain trails, and do small projects.
Service Project Details
We’re stoked to return to the New River Gorge National Park and Preserve where our volunteers will spend the week addressing trail maintenance like re-benching tread, building retaining walls, checks, drainage structures, and rehabilitating disturbed areas along an approximately 2.5 mile section of the Fayetteville Trail (moderate to high usage trail) that is in the worst condition. Litter cleanup along the trail and at trailheads may also occur as well as removal of invasive plants along the trail corridor.
