Service Project Details
We’re excited to return to Dixie National Forest for a week of trail work on the Water Canyon and Canaan Mountain trails. The project consists of 3 days of trail work on the aforementioned trails and one day of work at the yurt. Trail work will include brushing trails, tread repair, rock work, and work at the yurt will be a range of smaller projects.
High clearance vehicles are highly recommended for this project.

Sunday, May 15th. The Volunteer group meets at a time/place TBD. The group will go through check-in, introductions, orientation, and will help set up camp in preparation for the work week ahead.
Monday, May 16th. Workday.
Tuesday, May 17th. Workday.
Wednesday, May 18th. Day off.
Thursday, May 19th. Workday.
Friday, May 20th. Workday.
Saturday, May 21st. Break down camp, good-byes, depart.
Free Time Details
Visit Bryce Canyon National Park, Escalante Petrified Forest State Park, Anasazi State Park, and the Grand Staircase/Escalante National Monument are within a 60-minute drive. Other options include nearby hiking, viewing of wildlife and vegetation, photography, relaxation, etc.
Front Country: remote tent camping near cars. This project will have the use of the Upper Valley Yurt for staging and cooking. The yurt has a vault toilet.
