Join us for a week of trail maintenance (brushing, drain clearing, and trail delineation) along the Lost Palm Oasis Trail within Joshua Tree National Park.
Service Project Details
Crews will perform general maintenance (brushing, drain clearing, and delineation) on the Lost Palms Oasis Trail. The Lost Palms Oasis Trail is a 7.5-mile out-and-back trail that leads to a large Fan Palm Oasis. The trail winds through rugged terrain with desert mountains and Salton Sea views. For the first time, Wilderness Volunteers will be camping at the south end of the park. Depending on NPS staff needs, volunteers may also be asked to assist with various project tasks, including transporting building materials and supplies to project sites or trail signage installation. This is a great project for folks who love hiking decent distances with lighter brush and trail work sprinkled in along the way!
