WILDERNESS VOLUNTEERS
STATEMENT OF ANTI-DISCRIMINATION
Wilderness Volunteers recognizes that public lands belong to everyone. We are committed to promoting a culture of equity and inclusion in our organization.
We welcome the unique perspectives, experiences, skills and backgrounds that a diverse group provides and believe that diversity and inclusion are key to both the long-term health and effective stewardship of our public lands.
Wilderness Volunteers commits to:
- Providing a welcoming and safe environment for all volunteers;
- Striving to increase diversity on service projects by keeping our project fees affordable and using inclusive marketing and representative advertising;
- Promoting diversity on our Board of Directors, staff, and leadership bodies;
- Encouraging inclusivity and equity on our service projects by providing ongoing training to our Board, staff, and project leaders.
