We’re seeking flexible volunteers for a week of mixed work on the trails and carriage roads in gorgeous Acadia National Park! The project scope will be narrowed closer to the project dates based on the needs of the park.
Service Project Details
This project is a great fit for flexible and easy-going volunteers. We’ll spend the week in a mixture of work on the trails and carriage roads in gorgeous Acadia National Park. The project scope will be narrowed closer to the project dates based on the needs of the park, but applicants should be able to hike 5 miles comfortably, have sure footing (we may work in steep or loose terrain), and lift 20 lbs periodically.
We’ll spend the week based out of Seawall Campground. We will have limited available parking at Seawall Campground (3 spots at the campsite and 3 spots in overflow parking in the campground). Additional vehicles may have to be parked in other overflow parking lots or at Acadia N.P. HQ. We highly encourage volunteers to carpool to this project! Applicants for this project should be prepared for a 30-45 minute one-way commute to/from the jobsite (traffic dependent).
