Service Project Details
THIS IS NOT AN ARCHAEOLOGICAL PROJECT. There is NO Manti-La Sal National Forest archaeological project for 2025 due to staffing.
Immerse yourself in beautiful sandstone scenery as you spend the week working alongside the U.S. Forest Service. We’ll work to reroute a portion of the Peavine Trail in the Dark Canyon Wilderness including bench cutting, creating new tread, and new switchbacks to decrease the grade of the existing trail. Trailhead is accessible by two-wheel drive as long as the weather is dry.

Sunday, May 11th. The Volunteer group meets at a time/place TBD. The group will go through check-in, introductions, an orientation, and will help set up camp in preparation for the work week ahead.
Monday, May 12th. Workday.
Tuesday, May 13th. Workday.
Wednesday, May 14th. Day off.
Thursday, May 15th. Workday.
Friday, May 16th. Workday.
Saturday, May 17th. Break down camp, goodbyes, and depart.
