We’re stoked to return to the iconic North Country National Scenic Trail (NCNST) within Allegheny National Forest. We’ll spend the week working on 3 sections to address drainage issues and a bridge repair! The issues along these sections of the trail range from clearing drainages and removing organic matter from the trail to building rolling grade dips, rock crossings, and a reroute. Volunteers for this project must be able to hike 4 miles daily and should plan for tent camping near cars. During the week we’ll be based out of Red Forest Bridge Campground.
Project Leaders: Sue Blish and Mark Young.
