Spend a week working with the NPS on various trail maintenance work. Tasks may include: clearing back encroaching vegetation; removing vegetation on the tread; removing loose rocks; repairing uneven surfaces using mcleods, pick mattocks, pick axes, etc.; installing and/or repairing waterbars and drainages; and installing trail blazes where the trail is difficult to find.
Things to know:
High clearance vehicles are recommended. It is a rough dirt road in places. 4WD is not required.

Itinerary:
Sunday, June 14th. The Volunteer group meets in the afternoon at a time/place TBD. The group will go through check-in, introductions, orientation, and will help set up camp in preparation for the work week ahead.

Free Time Details
Hike any of the many trails in the park or in the surrounding areas (see website for local attractions). Hike to the top of Wheeler Peak (13,063 feet above sea level). Visit the warm springs and Crystal Ball Cave in Gandy. Because of our remoteness from so many places, exploring the amazing Great Basin National Park would be best.
